The Coffee House

The 5th Street Coffee House at St. Paul's was a non-profit, alcohol and smoke free venue located in a 100 year old Lutheran Church, at the corner of 5th Street and Nedro Ave. in the Olney section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Visit the church website here.

We held one concert each month in an all-acoustic format. The music room has a stage for performers and seats up to 150. The room is in the lower level of the church down 15 steps in the Parish Hall. 

A motorized chair provided handicapped accessibility to the room and there was also a handicapped accessible restroom. We served good coffee, water, tea and soft drinks, along with desserts. 

Our concerts started at 7:00 pm with a short opening act. Headliners perform immediately after the openers. Local opening acts were typically paired with nationally known performers.  Concerts were appropriate for all ages and children 12 and under were free. 

The Coffee House was also an internet cafe with free wireless internet access.  A laptop was made
